ION SIMATIC TDC T001 consists of two function blocks integrated in the user program of the SIMATIC TDC.
Data is transmitted over an Ethernet connection.
The SIPLUS CMS4000 X-Tools analysis software is installed on the higher-level evaluation PC.
The data to be acquired from the SIMATIC TDC is selected by configuring the ION SIMATIC TDC T001 function blocks in the SIMATIC TDC.
Cyclic data exchange with the analysis software on the industrial PC starts after being called by SIPLUS CMS4000 X-Tools. The data is visualized, analyzed and archived there.
From the point of view of X-Tools, the ION SIMATIC S7-300 T001 appears as an Ethernet device which communicates by means of TCP/IP.
The use of an ION SIMATIC TDC T001 function block enables transmission of max. 250 signals per PLC cycle. If this volume is insufficient, several function blocks can be used in the user program.
