Quick-release clamp-on seals for pressure are available for the following SITRANS P pressure transmitter series:
The quick-release clamp-on seal is a special design for flowing media and high-viscosity media. Since it is completely integrated in the process pipe, no turbulences, dead volumes or other obstructions to the flow occur. The measured medium flows unhindered through the clamp-on seal and results in self-cleaning of the measuring chamber. Furthermore, the clamp-on seal can be cleaned by a pig.

The pressure is transferred to the filling liquid via the measuring diaphragm (which is on the inside of the circumference of the pipe diaphragm seal) and then via the capillary pipe to the measuring cell of the transmitter. The filling liquid fills the interior of the pipe diaphragm seal, the capillary tube and the measuring cell of the transmitter gas-free.
Note: For operation in the underpressure range, as well as during commissioning, it is recommendable to use a vacuum-proof diaphragm seal (see Ordering data).
